Background: Mild haemophilia (MH) is mainly characterized by haemorrhages secondary to surgery/invasive procedures or trauma. Haemostatic treatment in MH ranges from on demand to short prophylaxis according to the type of bleeding events and the basal clotting factor level. Oral surgery and dental extractions can represent a frequent haemostatic challenge in MH requiring appropriate treatment. Objetivo: Realizar un inventario de los recursos públicos en la atención bucodental de la Comunidad Valenciana (España).Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo de los recursos humanos y materiales implicados en la atención bucodental pública. Se visitaron los hospitales, centros de atención primaria y centros de especialidades de los 22 departamentos de salud, se realizaron entrevistas estructuradas al personal.Resultados: De los 120 centros de atención, 99 fueron de atención primaria, seguidos de especialidades y hospitales. Abstract AIM: Oral and dental health improved tremendously over the last fifty years in Italy but still prevalence of dental caries in children remains a significant clinical problem. This report describes the National Italian Guidelines for caries prevention. METHODOLOGY: A panel of experts coordinated by the Italian Society of Paediatric Dentistry (SIOI) planned to elaborate the national Italian guidelines for caries prevention in children. This document aims to support the dental professional in choosing the adequate diagnostic technique, minimising the radiation dose in observance of the As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principle (7). This principle states that the biological cost can only be justifed when the beneft, that is, the diagnosis, outweighs the risk related to radiation exposure. In this guideline paper, we report recommendations for radiologists, medical physicists, paediatrician, dentists and maxillofacial surgeons, with reference to the specifc felds.
